Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, also known as Gujrat Agricultural University was established in the year 1972. K. Sreedharan is the current Vice Chancellor of GAU. Initially it was split into 4 campuses and has 6 colleges to its affiliation working towards a mutual vision and mission.

SDAU offers graduate and post graduate courses in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture and Forestry, Home Science and Fisheries. The expansive Library which homes numerous books on the subjects taught gives an opportunity to the students to explore and expand their horizons.
