1986 witnessed the establishment of University of Agricultural Sciences at Dharwad. The main aim of University of Agricultural Sciences is to establish integrated functions of teaching, research and extension in agriculture and allied disciplines. Dr. H.S. Vijaykumar is the present Vice Chancellor of UASD.
