Named after Lala Lajpat Rai, a respected freedom fighter, Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences was established in the year 2010 at Hisar. Maj Gen Shri Kant is the present Vice Chancellor of Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences. The main aim of LLRUVAS is to impart education in veterinary field.
LLRUVAS Hisar offers graduate, post graduate and doctorate degrees in Veterinary Sciences, Animal Husbandry, Animal Genetics and Breeding and Veterinary and Livestock Development. The library homes books on the subjects offering maximum exposure to students. Placement cell offers job opportunities to students in their respective fields.
