2008 witnessed the establishment of KSGH Music and Performing Arts University at Mysore. Dr.Hanumannanayaka Dorai is the present Vice Chancellor. Karnataka State Music University Mysore offers graduate and post graduate courses in Karnataka Music-Vocal, Hindustani Music-Vocal, Mrudanga, Violin, Veena, Sitar, Bharathanatya, Drama and Tabla. Library, Vadya Bhandar and Prasaranga help students gain maximum exposure in the fields of music and performing arts. Workshops and Seminars are conducted for the benefit of the students.
