The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) MBBS Entrance Exam 2016 qualifies students to pursue under graduate courses such as MBBS at JIPMER. The National level Entrance Examination enables the qualified to apply for the above mentioned undergraduate courses. Who can apply JIPMER MBBS 2016 Entrance Exam?
• The applicant should be an Indian Citizen
• An applicant who has completed his SSC or ICSE in 10+2 pattern or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Bio-technology and English
• The applicant should be at least 17 years of age as on the 31st of December 2016
About the JIPMER MBBS Exam:
• The exam includes 200 questions and is conducted in English
• It includes questions based on HSC or 10+2 syllabus from the following categories –

Process of Selection:
• The applicants are shortlisted based on their performance in the JIPMER MBBS Examination 2016. Then they are called for counseling.
• The applicants need to score an aggregate of 50% - General Category
• The applicants needs to score an aggregate of 45% - General Category (OPH)
• The applicants needs to score an aggregate of 40% - SC/ST/OBC
JIPMER MBBS Application Procedure:
• Go to the official website - jipmer.edu.in to download the online application form
• The applicants are suggested to read the instructions carefully prior to filling the application form
• The filled application form needs to be printed
• The application form must have the applicant’s signature and photograph affixed to complete the process

• Start – Online Registration : 19th March 2016
• End – Online Registration: 2nd May 2016 (4:30 pm)
• Admit Card: 20th May 2016
• Revisions until: 2nd June 2016
• Exam Date: 8th June 2016 between 10 am and 12:30 pm
• Result: 16th June 2016
• Academic Session: 17th July 2016
