The Himanchal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) came into existence in 1969 as per the Act no.14. The HP Board performs different activities such as prescribing the syllabus, improving the standards, adopting innovative techniques in the field of education. Apart from these activities the Board also publishes textbooks from 1st to 12th. The HPBOSE also runs 19 book depots which help the students in different ways.
The HP Board conducts examinations for 8th, 10th (Matric) and 12th classes. The Board also conducts departmental exams like J.B.T, T.T.C and P.V.T.C. The exams for the 10th class are held during March – April every year. The results are declared in the month of June. Results can be viewed online on www.indiaresults.com or www.hpresults.nic.in.
Hall Ticket or Admit card is to be taken by the students from the schools they are studying in. It will be issued in the middle of the academic year by the headmasters of the school. The Hall tickets can also be downloaded from the websitewww.hpbose.org.
