Late Shri Dharmsinh Desai was responsible for establishing Dharmsinh Desai University (DDU) in the year 1968 at Nadiad, Gujarat. Formerly known as Dharmsinh Desai Institute of Technology (DDIT), DDU’s main purpose is to undertake programs and projects for development of human resources. Dr. H. M. Desai is the current Vice Chancellor of DDU. With international MOU’s for students DDU imparts value added education to its students.
DDU Nadiad offers various graduate courses in Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Computer, Instrumentation & Control and Information Technology, Commerce, Computer Application, Management, Dental Sciences, Pharmacy. It offers post graduate degrees in Chemical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Civil Engineering, Instrumentation & Control and Computer Engineering. DDU was honored as ‘Deemed University’ in the year of 2000. Later was declared State University in the year 2005.
