The Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE is a Board of Education for public and private schools, under the Union Government of India. From setting up the first education board, U P Board of High School and Intermediate Education, in 1921 to being transformed into Central Board of Education in 1952, the board has been constantly expanding and improving.
The board also conducts yearly, centralised, final examination for its students at the end of a school year in March. The CBSE Board X Class examinations are generally held during the first two weeks in the month of March. Since last year the board has introduced the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system to better evaluate the students.
The CBSE Board Class 10th Results are declared in the last week of May 2016. The examination results are published on the CBSE official website http://www.cbse.nic.in/ in the morning. The result notifications are posted on the homepage and CBSE webpage for results. The results are also declared to the schools simultaneously and can be obtained from there. Getting results on SMS is also gaining popularity. Lately, many efforts are being made by CBSE to make the process of finding out results smoother and glitch free.
