The Down Town Charity trust was started in the year 1997 with the aim of providing underprivileged and deprived sections of society some help and relief. And the year 2008 witnessed the establishment of the Assam Down Town University (ADTU) catering to the educational needs of the students in the region. What started with only Nursing course offered to students, Assam Down Town University expanded in all fields with élan. At present, Assam Down Town University offers courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Paramedical, Hospitality and Ph.D. courses. Dr. Narendra Nath Datta is the current Chancellor of ADTU.

ADTU Guwahati not only imparts education but also sees to the overall development of the students. With Libraries that homes many of thousands of books, Hostel facilities, Internet connections, Research & Development opportunities and Placement Cell ADTU has always strived to put forward the best interest with regards to students.

Assam Down Town University conduct many exams on a regular & part time basis for their UG/PG courses like B.E, B.Tech, MSc, MCA, M.Phil, Ph.D, MCS, BCS, LLB, LL.M, BA, BSc, BEM, MBM, MA, BBA, MBA, B.Com, M.Com, BCA, MCA, M.Tech, Diploma, B.Pharmacy, M.Pharmacy, D.Pharmacy, B.Sc Nursing and Distance Education etc Semester/Yearly. Click on the desired course and the result will be displayed once you enter the Hall Ticket Number.
