Established in 2007 at Kadapa, Yogi Vemana University was formerly known as SVUPG Centre. Yogi Vemana University caters to the educational needs of the students from the Rayalseema region and is named after the most reverend poet, thinker and philosopher Yogi Vemana. Currently, Prof. A. Ramachandra Reddy is the Vice Chancellor of the YVU.
