Post-Graduate Merit Scholarship of UGC for University Rank Holders 2016

Good news for aspiring students. University Grants Commission (UGC) has made the announcement of release of scholarships forms for the students for Post- Graduations for the year 2016. Like every year the this year too UGC has taken an initiative to support all the students who wish to enhance their academics and acquire the Post Graduation degree. Also they feel proud to invite all the students who held a high rank during their graduation in an reputed and recognized University for this fellowship.

Post Graduate Merit Scholarship details:
• This scholarship is valid for 2 years. The candidates will be given a grant of rupees 2000 per month. Please note that this will be for 20 months that is two academic years. For more information please visit the official website of UGC i.e www.ugc.ac.in

Here are the eligibility details:
• This opportunity is for the courses that are non professional.
• The selected candidates can choose any of the desired subject from the list provided for specialization. They can also select the desired University/Institution from any of the one which is recognized by UGC.
• Please note that the applicants should have achieved not less than first or second rank during graduation in the subject chosen for the post graduation.
• Streams eligible for this scholarships are as follows: Life Sciences, Chemical Science, Physical Science, Mathematical Science, Earth Science, Social Sciences, Commerce and Languages. Please note that this scheme do not cover the professional courses.
• The most important criteria is that only those students can apply for this scheme who has secured a minimum of 60% during their under graduation.
