The College of Engineering, Vizagpatnam established in 1946 is now known as JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. Initially it was affiliated to Andhra University; it became a part of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University w.e.f 02-10-1972.
