AICTE conducts an entrance test namely CMAT for the admission of aspirants willing to do postgraduate diploma in management programs or MBA. The CMAT Score is acceptable by all the B-Schools recognized by AICTE, they can and are expected to accept the CMAT Score.

AICTE conducts CMAT TWO TIMES in a year. The contenders will be given two opportunities to appear for CMAT; first would be in September 2016 and second in February 2016. The better of two scores will be considered for admission for academic year 2016-16. The application form can be acquired from any branch of State Bank of India. Further details are recorded below --

Who can apply?
• Candidates who have done Graduation with 50% in any discipline.
• Students who are pursuing their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply
• Please refer to the notification for further information

Process of Selection:
• Applicants are selected on the basis of their CMAT Score

About the Examination and pattern:
• The test is scheduled to be conducted within 5 day slot duration from 25.09.2016 to 29.09.2016. the candidates will be given choice of selecting date and city for the examination
• The computer-based CMAT First Test 2016 – 2016 will have the following four sections with multiple choice questions. (MCQ) - Click Here

Application Procedure:
• The comprehensive list will be provided to the respective State Government for allotting the students through central counseling or otherwise as per their acquainted admission procedure
• In case there is no central counseling, scores awarded will be used for admission in the AICTE approved institutes/University departments according to their admission pattern

Examination Fee:
• For General/OBC candidate- Rs.1400 + Bank charges as applicable
• SC/ST/PD candidate Rs.700 + Bank charges as applicable

Payment Criteria:
• Through Net Banking / Credit / Debit Card via Online mode :: www.aicte-cmat.in
• Cash Payment Through challan generated online and Cash deposited in any branch of State Bank of India.

Registration:
• Online registration  will be scheduled from 3rd July, 2016 to 25th August, 2016 on website www.aicte-cmat.in
• Choice of 3 dates and 3 cities of India for online examination csn be inputted in preferential  order
• First come first served; actual allotments will be subjected to availability of the slots in a particular city.

Online Instructions:
• The duration of CMAT will be of 3 hours (180 minutes).
• Time allotted per section in CMAT would be 45 minutes.
• Marking Scheme for CMAT is 4 marks per correct answer and wrong answers will fetch negative marking of 1 mark
• Fee once remitted is not refunded under any circumstance.
• The CMAT First Test (2016-16) is expected to be conducted in 23 Indian (States and Union Territories) covering the mentioned cities, for city list Click Here
