Named after the Tamil poet Subramania Bharathiar, Bharathiar University was established in the year 1982 at Coimbatore. The motto of the university is “Educate to Elevate.” Prof.G.James Pitchai is the present Vice Chancellor.

The BU Coimbatore examinations are normally held in the months of May/ April respectively through semester system. The time table for the respective course examination could also be accessed at www.indianresults.info. The students can either download their time table directly from the official links as given below or they can log on to www.b-u.ac.in, the official website.
